The existence of digital transactions is an innovation that is trending and growing today. The usage of digital transactions in the context of worship, such as payments of sadaqah, waqaf, and zakat, has also grown. The objective of this paper is to analyse the potential of e-payment usage as a medium for fund-raising in rural mosques. The study used a quantitative approach, examining 22 mosques in a rural district in Selangor as a sample. Findings show that rural mosques have a high potential for implementing e-payments by increasing numerous variables, such as incentive programmes from the government and the involvement of the young generation in mosque administration. The study's findings are also expected to assist policymakers, practitioners, and researchers in improving the potential of mosques, particularly rural mosques, as a fund-raising medium. Finally, some limitations and suggestions can be made for future studies.
